What is the Tesamorelin / Ipamorelin Blend?
This research blend pairs two mechanistically distinct growth hormone secretagogues. Tesamorelin is a stabilized analogue of endogenous GHRH that stimulates GH release through the GHRH receptor on pituitary somatotrophs. Ipamorelin is a highly selective pentapeptide agonist of the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHSR) that stimulates GH release through an entirely separate signaling cascade with minimal effect on cortisol or ACTH.
Research Context
GHRH and ghrelin receptor pathways act synergistically, producing substantially amplified GH pulses when both are activated simultaneously compared to either alone. Tesamorelin's GHRH-receptor engagement is enhanced by Ipamorelin's GHSR stimulation, which sensitizes somatotrophs to GHRH input. Studies have documented elevated IGF-1, improved lean tissue mass retention, and reduced visceral adiposity in preclinical models using this combination.
