What is BPC-157?
BPC-157 (Body Protective Compound-157) is a synthetic peptide consisting of 15 amino acids (GEPPPGKPADDAGLV), derived from a protective protein isolated from human gastric juice. Unlike many peptides, BPC-157 demonstrates remarkable stability in biological environments — it resists hydrolysis in gastric acid, plasma, and tissue homogenates — making it a preferred model compound for regenerative research.
