What is Tesamorelin?
Tesamorelin is a synthetic peptide analogue of human growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), comprising the full 44-amino-acid sequence with a trans-3-hexenoic acid moiety attached to the N-terminus to enhance stability. It acts on pituitary somatotroph cells to stimulate the pulsatile secretion of endogenous growth hormone, preserving the physiological feedback mechanisms of the GH/IGF-1 axis.
